The police will be in school at lunchtime tomorrow for their regular ‘Walkabout Talkabout’ drop in session.

Please feel free to talk to them about any issues or problems you may have, if you are thinking about option choices and may be considering a career in the police or if you just fancy a chat.

ORIGIN: 1425–75; late Middle English curtailen to restrict (said of royal succession or inheritance), probably a conflation of Middle French courtau and Middle English taillen to cut

 

USAGE: The lesson was curtailed by the fire alarm going off
